PLATFORM is an exciting new independent food market taking place in Glasgow city centre every Friday and Saturday from 11am until late.
This Wednesday evening I was set to attend the soft launch ahead of the official launch this Friday but sadly The Beast from the East had other ideas and turned Glasgow into Narnia. Despite not getting a sneak peak I have decided to let you know about vegan offerings available anyways as I have been lucky enough to have tasted these traders wares at other events and let me tell you, your tastebuds are in for a treat!
Ginger & Chilli posted a sneak peak of their menu on Instagram and it confirms a vegan option of Pho Bo Chay; Hanoi style Vietnamese noodle soup with marinated tofu. I love that as well as a standard portion at £6, they will also be doing a tasting portion at £3 so you have room for everything else on offer too!
Babu Bombay Street Kitchen as you may have guessed serve up Bombay street food but with a cheeky Glasgow twist. I love a good curry and the fact that their curries are nut free means my husband can tuck in too. However if you fancy something a bit different, why not try their Nan-wich (like a sandwich but better!) and while you are at it get some of their masala fries to go with it.
Freddy & Hicks will be serving up their amazing vegan burgers , yes I said burgers as in plural and trust me you will find it hard to pick as these bad boys are the definition of food porn! You could get some sweet potato fries but why would you want to do that when you could get these loaded sweet potato fries…
As it stands PLATFORM have had to cancel their opening event on Friday March 2nd due to adverse weather conditions but you can keep updated by following their Instagram.
You can also follow me on my Instagram for lots more food (including my upcoming visit to PLATFORM obviously!) and occasional pictures of the cutest dog in the world.
I have some great Easter inspiration posts coming your way soon so please share and follow my blog!
