Vegan Connections Summer Festival

The Vegan Connections Festival will take place this weekend at The Briggait in Glasgow city centre showcasing irresistible vegan food, drink, beauty brands and more!

Everyone is welcome! Kids under ten go free and there will be an activity area to keep the little ones entertained. Furry babies are welcome too as the venue is dog friendly.

I grabbed coffee at Mayze (more on them later) with Nina from Vegan Connections to get the latest gossip on what to expect from this years event!

As well as the usual vegan mafia, as Nina affectionately refers to them, there will also be some exciting new faces at the festival too!

Rose and Grants will be on hand with their famous vegan square sausage, Cool Jerk Vegan Pies and other yummy goodies.

Sgaia will be serving up their plant based meats and cheeses in tasty creations to eat on the day as well as packs to take home.

Hanoi Bike Shop will be serving up Vietnamese street food, if their recent vegan for vendetta events have been anything to go by then we will be in for a tasty treat.

Vegan Fresh will be there too… Who are Vegan Fresh I hear you ask?!? An exciting new venture from the people who brought us Taco Mazama.

There will be plenty of sweet treats on offer too including the gorgeous Rawnchy Cakes I blogged about back in June.

Newly opened Mayze will be pouring hot bevs as well as presenting a chat on both days.

Izen freshly squeezed juices will be the ideal fuel if you fancy taking advantage of the yoga classes on offer.

Since opening at the start of the Summer, Five March has had foodies all over Glasgow singing its praises so I am delighted that they will be a hosting a pop up bar as well as doing a cocktail demo on Saturday.

The above is really just a taste of food and drink that will be available so trust me when I say leave your skinny jeans at home.

There will be lots of stalls to shop from between all the eating, beauty lovers can stock up on Lush treats and White Rabbit Skincare amongst others.

After the festival you can head to The Flying Duck for the after party featuring a fully female DJ line up, free entry for festival ticket holders.

You can buy discounted tickets online now or for £4 on the day – absolute bargain for a delicious day out as well as the after party! Oh and it is a non-profit event so any money raised is being donated to Tribe Animal Sanctuary and Veganuary as well as the Vegan Connections printed magazine which can be picked up for free at venues across Scotland.

If you can’t make it along this weekend then get the diary out just now and make note the Vegan Connections Christmas market will be held at BAAD this year on December 8th!

Make sure to follow Vegan Connections on Instagram and you can find lots more vegan food and events on my Instagram too.

Big Loves,

Gems x
