It is that time of year again when families and offices everywhere are passing around the Christmas chocolate tins. I am not one to be left out so last year I made my own, it was a big hit with any visitors (vegan or not!).
I bought a festive tin meaning it can be used again year after year and it matches my decorations.
I hold my hands up and admit that I went a tad overboard last year and spent a small fortune buying every vegan chocolate I could find! However, it is easy to create cheaply thanks to some accidently vegan treats so I thought I would share what we are using this year…
Jameson’s Ruffles (both mint and raspberry flavours) – you can find these in most supermarkets and poundshops.
Elizabeth Shaw Mint Chocolate Crisps – you can pick up these in most supermarkets and their gold wrappers look very festive indeed.
Tesco strawberry and orange cremes – I am not a fan but Mr.Johnson loves this type of chocolate. Last year we found these in Tesco and he was delighted that they are stocking them again this year. Oh and only £1 too!
Chocolate Coins – most supermarkets do their own free from versions but we picked ours up from Holland and Barrett as they had a mix of white, milk and dark chocolate ones.
Last year we picked up Choices Caramels from Sainsburys as well as Holland and Barrett but have not been able to find them anywhere this year! These were our absolute faves and if anyone knows where to find them please let me know in the comments below!
