Glasgow Coffee Festival

I love my daily morning coffee to get me going but what I love even more is my weekend coffee where I really take my time to grind, brew, sniff and savour every sip.
But do you know what is even better than a weekend coffee? A weekend full of coffee! Well get excited fellow coffee lovers as The Glasgow Coffee Festival is back and it looks bloody brilliant!

Organised by my faves Dear Green Coffee, the festival showcases specialty coffee throughout the two day event.

I met up with founder Lisa recently to get all the latest gossip and it was simply too exciting to keep to myself so I arranged for some blogger babes to visit the Dear Green roastery where the magic happens…

We were welcomed by a delicious cup of coffee before being guided around the roastery, I couldn’t help but be impressed with the science behind creating the perfect coffee.

After the tour we tried our hand at cupping; taking a slurp of coffee then guessing the origin. We failed miserably whereas Lisa nailed it, obviously. If you fancy having a go yourself then make sure to head to the cupping lab at the festival or just watch the experts in action at the Cup Tasters Championship.

At the festival you can also learn how to get the most from your brew through masterclasses, workshops and demonstrations  – who doesn’t love a bit of latte art?!

Tasty treats will be available too, vegan options last year included brownies and pizza so you won’t go hungry.

The Coffee Festival has sold out in previous years so book your ticket now by clicking here and use BloggersWhoBrunch30 for a sweet discount.

Oh and remember to take your keep cup as disposable cups will not be available at this years event, saving thousands of cups from landfill.

If you enjoyed this post then make sure to follow me on Instagram as I’ll be sharing my Coffee Festival highlights and you can always find lots of food and cruelty free beauty on my feed too.

Big Loves,

Gems x
