The Gift of Great Memories

Give the gift of something to look forward to in the new year!
I’ve rounded up some great experience gift ideas as memories last longer than most gifts.

As you all know I am partial to a wee gin but my friend Dom makes his gin extra AF with the most elaborate garnishes! He now runs garnish classes at Dockyard Social where you can learn how to create 3 garnishes, enjoy 4 G&Ts and his banter is pretty good! Or if you want the VIP experience he is available for private classes too.

Tomillo is one of the restaurants I recommend all the time and this year they launched cookery classes. You can learn how to make three courses, dine in between courses then take recipe cards home so you can recreate the dishes.

I’ve already mentioned The Divine Hag in my local gift guide but as well as selling the most wonderful products she can also teach you how to recreate them at home too. You can choose to make candles, room sprays and more but during any workshop you will learn all about the origins and benefits of different essential oils.

Another babe from my gift guide is Lucie Bradley, you can sign up for a course online or attend a workshop to learn and make herbal remedies.

Earlier this year I visited Janice aka  Be Nourished by Nature to learn more about fermented foods and was blown away with all her recipes and knowledge. She runs an array of different workshops such as sourdough and kombucha so perfect gift for any foodie!

Dear Green Coffee run classes in latte art, coffee brew, an espresso masterclass or in true Willy Wonka style you can book a tour of the roastery!

One of my absolute favourite things to do is have a night at the theatre! There are some fabulous shows coming to the Kings Theatre in Glasgow next year such as Mama Mia and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Yes every vegan loves Linda McCartney for her food range but did you know she was an amazing photographer? You can check out her work currently at Kelvingrove Museum but best book quick as the exhibition is only running until mid January.

Pin Ups Salon is the perfect place to pamper any vintage lover as they are experts when it comes to creating hair and make up looks from any era. The salon interiors are retro perfection too complete with a juke box and vintage dresses on display.

So there you have it some great gift ideas or fun plans to add to your own 2020 to do list!

Make sure you follow me on Instagram for lots more festive fun and Christmas giveaways.

Big Christmas Hugs,

Gems x

Again as stated in my local gift guide – I have cuddled, worked with or been gifted products by some brands mentioned but this post is in no way sponsored.
